Como configurar e otimizar um ambiente Data Guard para operações Nologging

Carga nologging em um ambiente DATAGUARD

Primeiramente, vou explicar como configurar um ambiente Data Guard para realizarmos o teste de carga. Em seguida, daremos início à execução do teste.

A escolha pelo uso de nologging é estratégica, pois permite uma execução mais ágil, evitando a geração de archivelogs no banco primário.

Essa abordagem traz dois grandes benefícios: otimização do armazenamento em ambos os ambientes e redução do tráfego de dados entre eles. Além disso, ao minimizar a transmissão de archivelogs, evitamos concorrências indesejadas com os backups noturnos, preservando o desempenho do sistema.

Por fim, retornarei a este ambiente para redigir um artigo sobre Disaster Recovery, garantindo um conteúdo bem estruturado e impactante.

Criando ambiente DATAGUARD

Recebi um arquivo chamado 11g-nonCDB.ova, que contém o Oracle 11g (versão 11.2.0.4) com um banco de dados denominado orcl11g.

O primeiro passo é importar esse arquivo para o VirtualBox.

Agora, para iniciar a máquina virtual, será necessário clicar duas vezes sobre ela.

O usuário será root e, no meu caso, a senha definida será senha.

Alterando o IPADDR para sua rede.

Importante saber:

É necessário criar N+1 standby logs em relação aos logs ativos.

Observe que há três grupos (group#) na visão V$LOG, o que significa que devem existir quatro grupos (group#) na visão V$STANDBY_LOG. Por isso, foram criados quatro grupos, garantindo a configuração adequada.

O Oracle Data Guard está configurado com sucesso, garantindo alta disponibilidade e recuperação de desastres para o ambiente. Embora o Active Data Guard exija uma licença adicional para a funcionalidade READ ONLY WITH APPLY, a solução implementada permite a aplicação contínua dos archivelogs no modo mount.

Se necessário, a replicação pode ser pausada para abrir o banco em modo read only, fornecendo relatórios baseados no momento da interrupção. Após a análise, basta reiniciar a replicação em  modo mount para garantir a continuidade da proteção dos dados.

Com isso, o Data Guard está operacional e pronto para garantir a segurança e integridade do ambiente!

Vamos para a Carga Nologging.

Ao lidar com uma carga massiva ou a exclusão de milhões de linhas em um ambiente com Data Guard, é essencial considerar o impacto na geração de archivelogs. Esse processo pode resultar em um grande volume de logs no banco primário, que serão transmitidos para o standby, aumentando o tempo de execução e exigindo espaço de armazenamento disponível.

Para mitigar esses desafios, realizei uma simulação em um ambiente de teste otimizado, garantindo que a operação ocorresse de forma eficiente, sem a geração excessiva de archivelogs. Essa abordagem permite validar o procedimento e minimizar impactos no ambiente de produção, assegurando um processamento mais ágil e seguro.

Para evitar a geração de archivelogs, é necessário que o banco esteja configurado no modo no force logging desativado e que a tabela esteja com a opção nologging habilitada.

Dessa forma, as operações de carga ou exclusão massiva de dados ocorrem de maneira otimizada, reduzindo o impacto no ambiente e minimizando o consumo de armazenamento. Essa estratégia garante maior eficiência no processamento sem comprometer a integridade do banco de dados principal e seu standby.

ESSE É O PONTO MAIS IMPORTANTE PARA FUNCIONAR A CARGA NOLOGGING.

Neste momento, ambas as bases ainda estão configuradas com force logging. Para realizar a carga de forma eficiente, é necessário seguir os passos essenciais:

1️⃣ Configurar as duas bases para no force logging;
2️⃣ Garantir que o banco standby permaneça no modo mount durante o processo;
3️⃣ Executar a carga no banco primary.

Atualmente, a tabela está vazia, pois os dados não foram replicados devido à configuração nologging e ao force logging desabilitado(no force logging). Nosso objetivo agora é reativar o Data Guard, garantindo que o banco standby volte a estar sincronizado com o primary.

Para isso, precisamos alinhar as configurações entre as duas bases, garantindo a integridade e a continuidade da replicação. Vamos executar os ajustes necessários para restaurar o funcionamento do Data Guard!

🔹 No Primary:

Agora, vamos copiar o arquivo de backup realizado no primary utilizando BEGIN BACKUP e END BACKUP para o standby, garantindo que ele mantenha exatamente o mesmo nome. O objetivo é sobrescrevê-lo no standby sem qualquer alteração no nome do arquivo, preservando a consistência entre as bases. Esse passo é essencial para restaurar a replicação do Data Guard com segurança e precisão.

A cópia direta do datafile do backup, transferida do primary para o standby, foi realizada com total sucesso! Embora a replicação dos dados não tenha ocorrido via archivelogs, o processo se mostrou extremamente eficiente e ágil, assegurando a sincronização do ambiente sem a sobrecarga habitual da replicação tradicional.

No meu ambiente de teste, não realizei esse procedimento, pois trata-se de um ambiente simples, com poucas tabelas. No entanto, para o ambiente de produção, recomendo que, antes de desativar o force logging (ALTER DATABASE NO FORCE LOGGING;), sejam feitas todas as alterações necessárias para garantir a integridade da replicação.
